Do I need to use the marketplace to use TruePro's tools?
No. TruePro's job management, scheduling, team dispatch, quoting, and invoicing tools work entirely for your own customers — people who phoned you, found you on Google, or are repeat clients. The marketplace is an optional extra that sends you new leads on top of what you already have.
What verification do I need to complete?
Your SA ID is the only compulsory step — our team checks it before your profile is listed on the marketplace. Beyond that, every additional item you verify earns a badge that customers can see. How long you've been trading is verified against your submitted founding year. If you're a registered company, we check your CIPC registration details. Optionally uploading your public liability insurance certificate earns you the 'Insured' badge. Bank details are only needed when you want to receive payouts from marketplace jobs — we check the bank account ownership. Verification typically takes 1–2 business days, and unverified accounts can use the operational tools while waiting, but making false cases may lead to a suspension or permanent ban.
How does payment protection work for my own customers?
For marketplace jobs, customers pay TruePro before work starts and funds are held securely until you complete the job — then released to you minus the 4.5% fee. For your own direct customers, payment is handled however suits you and your customer: bank transfer, SnapScan, cash — anything you agree on. TruePro doesn't process the payment and charges nothing.
How many leads will I receive?
Leads are matched to your trade category and service area. Each job can receive quotes from up to 5 pros. There's no minimum or maximum — it depends on your area and category. First to respond has the advantage.
What happens if a customer reports a concern about the work?
TruePro gives you 48 hours to respond with your evidence and propose a resolution — a return visit, a partial adjustment, or your account of what happened. If the customer accepts your proposal, that's it: resolved. If it can't be settled between you, our team reviews all the evidence and makes a binding decision. Funds stay held throughout the process. The goal is always to get you paid fairly and quickly.
Can I add my whole team?
Yes. Add as many technicians, dispatchers, and lead technicians as you need. You can also add crew members — workers without their own TruePro account — who appear on job pages and the route planner by name.
