Address privacy
TruePro is designed so that your exact home address is only shared with a tradesperson once you have chosen to work with them. This article explains what information pros can see at each stage of the job.
What do pros see before you accept a quote?
When you post a job request, the tradespeople who receive the lead see only your suburb — not your street address. This is enough for them to confirm they cover your area and to price the job accurately, but it does not reveal where you live.
When is the full address shared?
Your full street address is shared with a tradesperson when you accept their quote. At that point, they need your address to schedule the visit and plan their travel. Tradespeople who submitted a quote but were not accepted do not receive your full address.
Who else can see my address on TruePro?
Your address is visible to:
- The tradesperson you accepted — full address after quote acceptance.
- TruePro admin — only if needed during a resolution case investigation.
- Your account — your saved addresses are visible only to you when you are signed in.
Your address is never displayed publicly or shared with third parties outside TruePro.
Can I post a job without saving my address?
Yes. When you post a job request, you can enter an address directly without saving it to your account — just leave the "Save this address" option unchecked. The address will be used for that job only and will not appear in your saved addresses list.
What if I change my mind after accepting a quote?
If you need to cancel after accepting and your address has already been shared, contact TruePro support. In practice, once a pro has your address it cannot be unshared, but TruePro's verified pro network means the person you accepted is identity-checked and accountable on the platform.
