Kanban view, list view, and filtering jobs
The jobs dashboard at Jobs in your navigation gives you a full view of every job for the business. You can switch between a kanban board and a list view, and filter jobs by technician, date range, or customer name.
Kanban view
The default view is the kanban board. Each column represents a job status: New, Quoting, Accepted, Scheduled, Active, Completed, In Resolution, and Paid. Job cards appear in the correct column based on their current status.
Use the kanban view to see the whole pipeline at a glance — it makes it easy to spot bottlenecks (e.g. many jobs stuck in "Accepted" without an appointment).
List view
Click List in the top-right toggle to switch to a table view. The list shows every job across all statuses in one table, with columns for customer, category, suburb, assigned technician, value, and status. Use the list view when you need to scan specific details quickly or when you have many jobs across many stages.
Draft jobs
If you've started logging a direct job but haven't finished — either by clicking Save & finish later on the New Job form, or by leaving a job on the calendar unfinished — it shows up as a Draft in list view, labelled in amber. Click it to pick up exactly where you left off. Drafts never appear on the kanban board — they're not real, actionable jobs yet, so they'd only clutter the "New" column. If you'd rather not see them in the list either (for example if you have a lot of old, abandoned ones), tick Hide drafts in the filters.
Recurring jobs
A job that's part of a recurring series is labelled Recurring in purple, in both kanban and list view — unlike drafts, these are real, actionable jobs, so they're shown everywhere. See the Recurring jobs guide for how the series works.
Filtering jobs
Filters are available in both views and persist when switching between kanban and list.
Filter by technician
If your business has technicians, a "Technician" dropdown appears above the jobs list. Select a technician's name to see only jobs assigned to them. This is useful when scheduling a technician's day or checking their workload.
Filter by date range
Use the From and To date fields to filter by job creation date. For example, setting "From: 1 June" and "To: 30 June" shows only jobs created in June. Click Filter to apply.
Filter by customer name
Type a name in the Customer name field and click Filter to find jobs for a specific customer.
Assigning a technician to a job
- Open the job from the kanban or list view.
- Scroll to the Assignment section.
- Select the technician from the dropdown.
- Set the appointment date and time.
- Save the assignment.
The technician receives a push notification immediately with the job details and appointment time. The job moves to "Scheduled" status.
