Getting started on TruePro
TruePro is built for trades businesses of all sizes — from a sole trader to a team of twenty. The platform has two sides that work together: a marketplace where homeowners post jobs and you send quotes, and an operations system where you manage those jobs from booking through to payment. This article gives you an overview of what TruePro offers and how leads work.
The two sides of TruePro
The marketplace
Homeowners post jobs on TruePro and up to five verified tradespeople can quote. You receive leads that match your trade categories and service area — no cold calling, no chasing referrals. You can register under multiple trade categories (for example, plumbing and solar installation), so your business gets leads across all the trades you offer. When a homeowner accepts your quote, the job moves into your operations dashboard and payment is protected, guaranteed before you start work.
The operations system
Every job you win lives in your TruePro operations dashboard. From there you can schedule appointments, assign technicians, track job progress, upload completion evidence, and manage customer communications — all in one place. The operations data also feeds your trust score, which makes your profile more compelling to future customers.
How trust works for your business
Your trust score is calculated from real job data: how often you complete jobs, how quickly you respond to leads, your resolution rate, and your customer ratings. A higher trust score means your profile appears more credible to homeowners comparing quotes. Verified badges — for identity, business registration, and insurance — are displayed prominently on your profile.
Verification overview
You can browse marketplace leads as soon as you sign up — identity and insurance are both optional during onboarding, and you can skip them and add them later. Banking isn't part of onboarding at all; add it whenever you're ready to get paid, from Business Settings. The only point identity verification is required is before you send a quote on a marketplace lead (quoting your own direct customers never requires it). You don't need to wait until verification is finished to start using TruePro's free business tools — the Quote Builder and Planned Maintenance (PPM) contracts are available from your dashboard as soon as you sign up, so you can quote and manage direct jobs for your existing customers right away.
