Completing a job
Completing a job on TruePro is a specific action that triggers the payment release process. It is important to complete jobs correctly and promptly — doing it right protects both you and the business. This article explains what to do when you finish a job and what happens afterwards.
Before you mark complete
Do not mark a job complete until:
- All the work described in the agreed scope has been done.
- You have tested everything that should work — turned on taps, flipped switches, run the system.
- You have cleaned up the work area and removed your tools and waste materials.
- You have taken your completion photos and uploaded them to the job.
If you are missing a part and need to return to finish, do not mark complete. Mark the visit notes and let your dispatcher know when you will be back.
How to mark a job complete
- Open the job on your phone.
- Tap "Mark as complete".
- Confirm that your completion photos have been uploaded.
- Write a completion note. Describe what was done clearly and factually. For example: "Replaced 150L geyser element and thermostat. Pressure tested — no leaks. System running at correct temperature."
- Tap "Mark complete →" and confirm the dialog.
What happens after you complete
The customer is notified that you have marked the job done. They have 2 SA business days to submit a review — a star rating releases payment immediately, while 1–2 stars opens a resolution case. After 2 SA business days with no action, payment is released automatically.
Your dispatcher can see the completed job and your evidence. They may follow up with the customer to encourage confirmation and a review.
Multi-visit jobs
If the job requires more than one visit — for example, to install a part that needed ordering — only mark the job complete on the final visit when all agreed work is done. For intermediate visits, add notes and photos but do not press "Mark complete". Let your dispatcher know each visit is done so they can update the customer.
If you realise you missed something
If you mark a job complete and then realise something was left undone, contact your dispatcher immediately. They can message the customer to arrange a return visit before the review window closes. It is always better to proactively offer to return than to wait for a customer complaint.
