What you can and cannot see as a technician
As a technician on TruePro, you have access to the information you need to do your job — but not to financial or sensitive business data. This guide explains exactly what you can and cannot see.
What you CAN see
- Your assigned jobs for today and upcoming days
- Job address and suburb
- Job description and scope of work
- Appointment date and time
- Dispatcher notes and instructions on the job
- Photos you have uploaded (arrival, work-in-progress, completion)
- Job compliance forms assigned to you
- Materials you have logged on the job
What you CANNOT see
- Quote value or job price — the amount the customer paid is not visible to technicians
- Payment status or payment details — financial information is only accessible to business owners
- Customer phone number or email address — you see the job address but not direct contact details. All customer communication goes through your dispatcher.
- Other technicians' jobs — you can only see jobs assigned to you
- Leads and quotes — marketplace quoting is only accessible to business owners
- Business financials, payouts, or invoices
Why these restrictions exist
These limits protect customers' privacy, keep financial information confidential, and ensure the business owner remains in control of pricing and customer relationships. If you need information that is not visible to you — for example, a customer's phone number to confirm a direction — ask your dispatcher.
Getting help with access
If you believe you are missing access to something you need to do your job, speak to your business owner. They can adjust your team permissions from the team management settings.
