Tracking hours worked on a job
Tracking hours worked on a job
Technicians can start and stop a timer directly from the mobile job view to record hours worked on a job. Tracked time can then be pulled straight into the invoice as a labour line item.
Where to find the timer
Open the job in your mobile workflow. Once the job is in progress you'll see a "Time tracker" section with a "Start timer" button.
Starting and stopping
Tap "Start timer" when you begin work. The section shows the time it started. Tap "Stop timer" when you're done — the session is logged with its duration. You can start and stop the timer as many times as needed on the same job; each session is recorded separately and the hours accumulate.
Only one timer can run on a job at a time.
Adding tracked time to an invoice
When generating the invoice for a job, a "+ Add tracked time" button appears next to "+ Add line item" showing the total hours logged. Clicking it adds a labour line item pre-filled with those hours — just add your hourly rate before sending.
Who can see logged time?
Logged sessions are internal only. They're visible to the business owner and dispatcher on the job detail page under "Time tracked", but never shown to the customer.
